Crafting digital campaigns to educate artists and the general public about SAMRO
The Client
The Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO), is a copyright asset management society. It was established by the South African Copyright Act, and aims to protect the intellectual property of music creators by licensing music users, collecting license fees and distributing royalties to music creators.
The Challenge
SAMRO needed assistance to share education about their role in the music industry.
They also needed a crisis management plan that is on standby.
What we did
We crafted digital campaigns to educate artists and the general public about the role the SAMO plays.
SAMRO faced a PR crisis with Eugene Mthethwa during the period that we worked with them, and we managed to get in front of the story and control the narrative.
